Established in 1990, FIRST is an international non-profit organization that brings together Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs), Product Security Incident Response Teams (PSIRTs), and numerous security professionals from public, private, and academic sectors. FIRST's mission is to facilitate global cooperation and coordination in the prevention of and response to security incidents, and to share extensive community and information among its members. Today, FIRST consists of over 600 teams from more than 100 countries.
