LAC provided a training session on forensic and malware analysis techniques at the "INTERPOL Digital Security Challenge"
28 MAR 2017 | Information
INTERPOL held its second Digital Security Challenge(DSC) in Singapore from March 14th (Tue) to 17th (Fri), 2017.
Cybercrime investigators and digital forensic experts from 20 countries and regions participated in the DSC, a large-scale event where fictitious cybercrime scenarios were used in order for participants to compete in investigative techniques on forensic and malware analysis.
LAC provided a training session on forensic and malware analysis.
By using various scenarios based on Emergency Response cases handled by LAC's Cyber Emergency Center with increasingly sophisticated malware and cyberattacks on a daily basis, this practical training session was held in order to help DSC participants detect traces of malware more efficiently.
LAC continues to contribute to the development of a safe and secure internet environment through collaborative efforts in supporting cybercrime investigation.
